Waste you can dispose of yourself

Glass container

The glass container is only for empty glass containers, jars and bottles of food, drinks, make-up or medicines. Factories can only use these types as a raw material for new glass. Other types of glass are therefore not allowed in the glass container. If you do put other types of glass in the glass container, it must then be transported again and incinerated as household waste. This means extra costs, which ultimately will be charged via the waste collection tax.

Not in the glass container

Drink glasses and vases, lamps and fluorescent tubes, mirror glass; all these types of glass are not allowed in the glass container. Please hand it in at the waste recycling station. Also bring heat-resistant glass to the Milieustraat. This is glass from a hob, but also oven dishes, pan lids, stove windows and so on.

More information can be found on the website of Milieu Centraal.
